Alex joined DIMITRIAKI SA (then Continental Grain Greece) back in 1991, year when he concluded his studies in Law, in an bid to build up some professional experience before pursuing an MBA.It turned out that the trading floor Sirens were more powerful than expected, keeping him in the same position till today…DIMITRIAKI SA is a trading company based in Athens, Greece, active since 1985 in the trade of grains, protein meals and byproducts in the Eastern Mediterranean area (Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, the Balkans, Black Sea, North Africa, etc.), dealing with cereals’ origination and marketing, as well as trains, trucks, barge and sea vessels freight and logistics.

Andrée has an agro-economics degree from the Institut National Agronomique de Paris-Grignon, in which she specialised in world commodity markets. Andrée is now the president of Tallage.
She founded the company in 1993 and was previously at the helm of the “Research/Cereal markets” department of Louis-Dreyfus-&-Cie in Paris, and provided European market forecasts for the company.
Tallage is specialized in agro-economy forecasting. The company provides services to clients all over the world and involved in agricultural production, industry, animal production, trading, shipping, banking, funds, official institutions etc.”

As a founding principal of The Hightower Report, Dave Hightower analyzes the energy, metal, index, currency & bond markets daily.
Dave has over 30 years experience in the commodity and financial futures industry. Before starting The Hightower Report, Dave was the Director of Research for the (then) largest commodity brokerage firm in the United States, Stotler & Company. Prior to this, Dave was one of the first paid full time stock index futures analysts and has since covered the stock market on a daily basis.
Dave has provided research interviews to CNN, Bloomberg Television, the Wall Street Journal, Futures Magazine and many other industry groups/publications. Dave has worked with regulatory agencies, exchanges and other industry players on a wide variety of research and trading projects. He also educates commercial traders in basic and advanced hedging techniques.

General Director of The Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR), Ph.D., Dmitry Rylko was born in 1957 in Bryansk. Graduated with distinction from the Economics Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Since 1983 Dmitry worked at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) in in a variety of positions. From 1996 – Head of the Center for Agribusiness IMEMO. Among the main tasks of the Centre is a study of problems and development trends of Russian and foreign agribusiness, the main directions of scientific and technical progress in agribusiness (biotechnology), land issues in various countries around the world, marketing and pricing issues in agribusiness in Russia; issues related to the functioning of the Russian food market. Since October 2001, Dmitry Rylko is a CEO of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR), an information-analytical agency, carrying out a wide range of applied and theoretical research in the field of global and domestic agro-food system. In the center of the Institute’s research is analysis of current condition and forecast of domestic ag food markets.

Martin Roussev is chairman of the management board of the Bulgarian association of grain and feed traders and Executive director of Vitagrain BG JSCo. – leading trade company in Bulgaria and exporter of grain and oilseeds.
Martin has a Master’s degree in Economics and a considerable experience in international trade within leading companies such as Louis-Dreyfus (France) and Walton (USA).

Dr. Rory Deverell is a senior commodity risk manager for INTL-FCStone and has been analysing and commenting on agricultural markets for over 10 years. Rory’s background is in agriculture with agriculture degree and PhD from University College Dublin.
Rory worked as a trader for R&H Hall, Irelands largest feed ingredient import. Currently, Rory works for INTL-FCStone, one of the world’s leading agricultural commodity risk management firms assisting European grain producers, traders and end-users to manage their price risk.

Faik Genç has been in the commodities business for 30 years. He began his career at Sabancı Group’s London based trading company in 1985. He left the company as Commercial Director in 1996. Moving to Turkey, he joined a major softseed crusher/refiner Doysan A.Ş. as Commercial Director and became General Manager in 1999. He took an active role in establishment of joint-venture with ADM in 2000 and he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of ADM/Turkey following ADM’s total acquisition of the company. In 2003, he left ADM and the vegoils sector. He returned to agri commodities by setting up AgriPro, in 2008.  Faik Genç is a former Board Member/Vice Chairman of BYSD (Turkish Vegetable Oils Industrialists Association).  AgriPro Limited provides transparent brokerage and consultancy to the fats & oils industry, publishing regular weekly reports which are sold to over 60 companies. AgriPro also publishes “Turkish Vegoil Industry Report” since 2011 which is updated biannually.

Jaime is vice president of OTC & Advisory for the EMEA Region at INTLFCStone. Having joint the company in 2007, Jaime has dedicated the last ten years to specialising in the grains & oilseeds sector. Working with the full commercial Ag value chain, from producers, through to processors and end users. Centred on clearly defining and evaluating actual commercial price risk as it relates to margins. Prior to working at INTLFCStone, Jaime traded as an open outcry pit trader, trading futures and options books on the New York Board of Trade’s, Finex (FX Futures) exchange.

Georgi Ratchev holds a PhD in Climatology and is and one of the most experienced climate specialists in Bulgaria.  For years he has been lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ” in Synoptic Analysis and Synoptic Climatology, Renewable Energy Sources, Ambient Air Quality, etc.
Dr. Rachev has numerous contributions to various conferences and forums and publications on climate, climate change, conditions for production and consumption of bio fuels, prerequisites for the price rising of agricultural lands.

Dr. Georgi Ratchev

Nina Nikolova holds a PhD in Climatology and is Head of Department of “Climatology, Hydrology and Geomorphology” at the Faculty of Geology and Geography of The University of Sofia “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

Dr. Nikolova has numerous scientific publications on climate change and is scientific manager of several projects with focus on the impact of meteorological drought on agriculture, changes in the rainfall models, etc. Her research interests focus also on agro-climatology, extreme climatic phenomena, natural hazards, urban climate, climate change policy, ecology, atmospheric pollution.

She has received a post-doctoral scholarship from the Japanese Science and Technology Agency (STA) and in 1999-2000 has completed a one-year specialization at the Meteorological Research Institute in Tsukuba, Japan.

Dr. Nina Nikolova

Florin Bratucu is a Senior Grain Trader at COFCO international since the company opened its office in Bucharest to cover the region. He has master‘s degree in economics and has strong analytical and negotiation skill developed during his successful professional experience as Commercial Manager in Glencore Romania and before that, in various positions, including the Trading Manager job in Cargill Agricultura.

Veselka Pashova is currently Laboratory Director in SGS Bulgaria. Her main responsibilities are related to the organisation and management of laboratory activities, quality control testing, development and implementation of new testing methods, sales, innovation, customer service and other.

Veselka has graduated from Sofia Univeristy St. Kliment Ohridski with a degree in Biotechnology. She has obtained several postgraduate qualifications in the field of chemistry and biotechnology from different international organisations.
